Freethinker’s Corner Author Interview
November 16, 2020
As a young adult, Michael Bruno stopped at the historical markers that dotted the Granite State highways while riding his motorcycle. He found each of the markers intriguing with their unique story.
Now, more than thirty years later, he has embarked on a project to visit and provide expanded information regarding each of the 263 New Hampshire historical markers that are currently exhibited along the highways in the Granite State.
New Hampshire history is uniquely on display along the highways of the Granite State. The New Hampshire roadside historical markers commemorate significant events and individuals from the first settlers arriving in 1623 to notable individuals who helped define what New Hampshire is today.
Bruno’s book explores the 255 New Hampshire historical markers that dot the state highways and roads. Each marker is described with its location (to include GPS coordinates), date installed, marker inscription, and expanded historical references of this event/individual. Information may also be provided about other points of interest in the vicinity of the historical marker. Michael’s book is available in-store and through the website at the link below.
